Vacuum blood collection tubes with caps of different colors

Standardized vacuum blood collection tubes should adopt the international common head cover and label color, indicating the type of additives in the blood collection tube and the test purpose. Due to the diversity of blood analysis, there are many types of additives, and the commonly used ones are as follows.
(1) Golden cap vacuum blood collection tube:
Contains coagulants and gel additives, suitable for serum chemical testing. After blood collection, the test tube needs to be inverted and mixed 5 times.
(2) Light green cap vacuum blood collection tube:
Contains lithium heparin and gel additives, suitable for plasma chemical testing. After blood collection, the test tube needs to be inverted and mixed 8 times.
(3) Red cap vacuum blood collection tube:
Without or with procoagulant additives, suitable for serum chemistry, serology and immunohematology tests (ABO blood group, Rh blood group, antibody screening, erythrocyte phenotype and direct antiglobulin). Tubes containing procoagulants need to be inverted and mixed 5 times after blood collection, and tubes without procoagulants do not need to be inverted and mixed after blood collection.
(4) Orange-red cap vacuum blood collection tube:
Contains thrombin additive, suitable for emergency chemical serology test. After blood collection, the test tube needs to be inverted and mixed 8 times.
(5) Dark blue cap vacuum blood collection tube:
Contains sodium heparin (glass tube), EDT A Na2 (glass tube), EDT A K2 (plastic tube), coagulant (plastic tube, serum) and no coagulant (glass tube, serum) additives for Trace elements, toxicology and nutritional chemistry testing. The test tubes containing heparin and EDT A anticoagulant need to be inverted and mixed 8 times after blood collection, the test tubes containing procoagulants need to be inverted and mixed 5 times after blood collection, and the test tubes without procoagulants need not be inverted and mixed after blood collection.
(6) Green cap vacuum blood collection tube:
Contains sodium heparin, lithium heparin or ammonium heparin additives for plasma chemistry. After blood collection, the test tube needs to be inverted and mixed 8 times.
(7) Gray cap vacuum blood collection tube:
Contains potassium oxalate/sodium fluoride, sodium fluoride/EDTA Na2, sodium heparin/sodium fluoride, lithium heparin/sodium fluoride, iodoacetic acid and sodium fluoride (serum) additives, suitable for glucose determination. Oxalate and EDT A supplements were used for plasma samples, and sodium fluoride was used to inhibit glycolysis. After blood collection, the test tube needs to be inverted and mixed 8 times.
(8) Yellow-brown cap vacuum blood collection tube:
Contains heparin sodium (glass tube) or EDT A · K2 (plastic tube) additives, suitable for lead determination, the lead content of the certified test tube is less than 0.01μg/ml. After blood collection, the test tube needs to be inverted and mixed 8 times.
(9) Yellow cap vacuum blood collection tube:
Contains sodium polyanethol sulfonate (sodium polyanethol sulfonate, SPS) additive, suitable for microbial testing. or acid-citrate dextrose (ACD) supplement for blood banking, HLA phenotyping, DNA and paternity testing. After blood collection, the test tube needs to be inverted and mixed 8 times.
(10) Purple cap vacuum blood collection tube:
Contains EDT A · K3 additive (glass tube), suitable for whole blood cell determination. Or with spray EDT A · K2 additive (plastic tube), suitable for whole blood cell determination and immune blood test (ABO blood group, Rh blood group and antibody screening). After blood collection, the test tube needs to be inverted and mixed 8 times.
(11) White cap vacuum blood collection tube:
Contains EDT A · K2 and gel additives, suitable for molecular biology diagnosis. After blood collection, the test tube needs to be inverted and mixed 8 times.
(12) Pink cap vacuum blood collection tube:
Contains spray EDT A · K2 additive, suitable for whole blood cell determination and immune blood test (ABO blood group, Rh blood group and antibody screening). After blood collection, the test tube needs to be inverted and mixed 8 times.
(13) Light blue cap vacuum blood collection tube:
Contains sodium citrate additive (glass tube: 0.105 M, plastic tube: 0.109 M), suitable for coagulation test. Or with citrate-theophylline-adenosine-dipyridamole (CT AD) supplement for platelet function and routine coagulation tests. After blood collection, the test tube needs to be inverted and mixed 3 to 4 times.
