Operating steps for graduated centrifuge tubes
The graduated centrifuge tube is a measuring device, suitable for qualitative analysis of micro and semi-micro. When centrifuging and stratifying substances suspended in liquid, graduated centrifuge tubes are essential tools.
There are two types of graduated centrifuge tubes: pointed bottom and round bottom. The conical centrifuge tube can be divided into two types with plug and no plug.
The pointed-bottom centrifuge tube is a pointed-bottom glass tube with a round mouth on the upper diameter, starting from the lower 2/3 of the tube body, and cutting into a tapered glass tube with a tapered bottom. The upper diameter is round to increase the mechanical strength, and the lower truncated cone can reduce its volume. The conical part of the conical centrifuge tube, that is, less than 1/10 of the full capacity, the graduation line is twice as large as the graduation line of other parts. The color and crystal shape can also be easily observed.
The round bottom centrifuge tube is a short round bottom test tube with thick wall and large volume. The wall thickness and the volume are matched with each other. Due to the large volume, the force after centrifugal precipitation increases oppositely, so the wall of the round-bottom centrifuge tube is thicker, so that the solution with large capacity can be used for centrifugation and stratification. The round bottom part of the round bottom centrifuge tube does not have to be graduated.
