Cause analysis and solution of poor blood sampling
No blood return or poor blood sucking
There is no return of blood from the venipuncture. First, confirm whether the puncture is successful and look for “hollowness”. You can also use your fingers to lightly press the upper part of the blood vessel to increase the pressure of the blood vessel. At the same time, please cooperate with the patient to make a fist and loosen the fist regularly to promote blood flow. Adjust the angle of the blood collection needle to avoid the oblique surface of the needle sticking to the blood vessel wall, causing the vacuum blood collection tube to not suck blood smoothly. After the above steps, when blood cannot flow into the vacuum tube smoothly, it can be preliminarily judged that the negative pressure of the vacuum tube is insufficient, and a spare vacuum tube can be replaced for operation without additional venipuncture. When the blood pressure of the patient is too low or the blood viscosity is too high, the phenomenon of poor blood sucking may also occur, and more attention should be paid. In addition, do not loosen the cap of the test tube before using the disposable vacuum blood collection tube to prevent insufficient negative pressure to cause poor blood return.
The lancet sleeve cannot be restored
After the vacuum tube is separated, the rubber sleeve on the blood collection needle can be automatically restored, and the needle can be wrapped to avoid blood contamination and puncture injuries caused by the exposure of the needle. However, it is inevitable that the rubber sleeve cannot be restored for multi-tube blood collection. Before separating the vacuum tube, bend the blood collection tube to prevent the residual blood in the tube from flowing out. Separating the vacuum tube from the blood sampling needle can effectively avoid the pollution caused by blood leakage.
Specimen hemolysis
In order to avoid hemolysis of the specimen in the vacuum tube, it is best to insert the needle and the inner wall of the vacuum tube at an angle of 45° when connecting the blood collection needle and the vacuum tube. When the blood collection volume is insufficient, in order to avoid excessive negative pressure in the vacuum tube, which may cause hemolysis due to rupture of blood cells, the plastic cap of the vacuum tube can be opened and then closed, so that the pressure inside and outside the tube can be consistent, which can effectively prevent the occurrence of hemolysis.
Blood clotting
When encountering a blood sample that needs anticoagulation, after the blood sampling is completed, the vacuum tube should be slowly inverted several times in time to mix the blood with the anticoagulant to avoid blood clotting.
