The Ø9×120mm ESR (Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate) Tube is intended for various automatic erythrocyte sedimentation rate analyzers. It comes in two material options, PET and glass, is capped with a black cap, and has 3.8% Sodium Citrate in it. The tube is used to draw blood and determine the rate of settlement of erythrocytes in a tube after a given time the ESR, which is essential for diagnosis of inflammation or disease.

Features of the black blood tube

    ● Accurate Sodium Citrate Ratio: Each tube being used is already containing the 3.8% Sodium Citrate solution making the measurement of ESR moreeffective and less prone to error.

    ● Universal Compatibility: This tube is used with sophisticated automated ESR analyzers, making it useful in various laboratories.

    ● Leak Proof Black Cap: The black cap is easy to use, leak proof and disposable with a maceral safeguarded seal to inhibit leakage ensuring that a clean and non contaminating exercise is carried out.

Applications of the Vacuum Blood Collection ESR Tube

The primary use of the ESR tube is to draw blood for the determination of the rate of settlement of cells, Erythrocytes, in this case, and this becomes useful in detecting infections, arthritis, cancers.

Blood Collection: Use of the black blood sample collection tube is restricted to venous blood collection. After collection, the tube should be rocked back and forth gently after collection X times to ensure that the blood is well mixed with 3.8% sodium citrate.

    ● Centrifugation: The sample is filled in the cuvette and placed in a centrifuge, as per the laboratory standard, after which it is placed in the automated ESR analyzer for measurement.
